Head office staff are detached from store requirements often failing to stock even the simplest items and safety equipment for the everyday cyclist or ordering vast amounts of irrelevant stuff to stores that will not sell. You'll barely get home before getting ready to go back into a stressful work environment where head office staff, company directors, and managers alike give minimal input into just about everything. Very little from such a 'big' company If you don't mind starting early and working late seeing little trade then this might be the job for you! However, if you would like to have even a small amount of a social life outside of working hours think again. Rutland Cycling is a great place to work if you have a positive attitude to working and have a team spirit. I learnt a lot during my time at Rutland Cycling that I have carried with me. I left the company, reluctantly, to pursue something completely unrelated and I received nothing but well wishes and genuine kindness and support. I was supported by my manager (and team) when I had to take time off work for personal circumstances, no questions asked. I have had the opportunity to see how much management and directors care about, not just the success of the company, but their employees. I have seen how hard everyone works, and I have seen this to be recognised by managers and directors. I had a wide remit to work with colleagues across all parts of the business, including stores and head office. Everyone would chip-in and help out if needed. I worked in a fantastic team where everyone worked hard, but we had great fun at the same time. Great team and supportive environment I was trusted to do my job day to day but had regular check-ins with my manager, and there was an open door policy.
